Little steps go a long way when it comes to taking care of our planet: For the longest time one of these steps was to use twine to tie and carry our boxes in lieu of carrier bags, but we've recently started thinking about how else we can lower our environmental impact as an establishment in a notoriously waste-generating industry. So today on #WorldEnvironmentDay, here's us going on the record to share the changes we've made and will be making in our stores: • No-Plastic-Straw Policy: Takeaway cold beverages will be served without a straw, but if you need one, plant-based straws are available upon request. Dine-in beverages at our Tiong Bahru store are served with stainless steel straws from Seastainable Co., whose profits support marine conservation efforts in Asia. • BYO Cups and Lunchboxes: Enjoy 50 cents off your drink when you have it served in your own cup, or 5% off deli, breakfast & lunch items when you bring your own lunchbox. • Food Waste Collection & Redistribution: Our kitchen scraps and coffee grounds are sent to a co-digestion facility that turns them into biogas; occasionally we also turn them into compost in the urban garden which Cultivate Central helped set up along our Patio. Our unsold bakes are redistributed by The Food Bank Singapore to benefit those in need. • Cessation of Bottled Water Sales: At our Tiong Bahru store, you are welcome to refill your bottle at our water dispenser or purchase a reusable & recyclable glass bottle from us at $3 to fill up. • Usage of Beeswax Wraps: Instead of single-use plastic wraps, we now use reusable beeswax wraps to store some of our bakes at the end of the day. • Bamboo Bathroom Tissues: The paper we use in our bathroom at our Tiong Bahru store is pulped from renewable, fast-growing bamboo. With these efforts in place, we are also proud to be able to support the waste minimisation causes that the folk at BYO Singapore and Plastic-Lite Singapore are campaigning for. As we take baby steps toward greater sustainability, we look forward to seeing you join us on this journey. #PVgoesgreen
Price Increase Notice // We take great pride in what comes out of our kitchen. For that reason, we will always choose to use ingredients that represent a quality good enough for our own homes. Unfortunately, in recent times, this has meant significantly increased costs. Worldwide prices for raw ingredients have been on the rise — the cost of our French butter alone, for example, has increased almost two-fold. This sustained increase in these prices has made it increasingly challenging for us to maintain the quality of our bakes at our current pricing. For this reason, from 9 May 2018, our cupcakes will now be priced at $4.20 each and $24 for half a dozen. We are pleased however to note that as a result of our recent price review, we are able to lower the surcharge for our Flavours of the Month to $0.30, and the price of our breakfast muffins to $3.90 each. We would like to thank each and everyone one of our patrons for your kind support and loyalty over the years and allowing us to continue in our endeavours to bake in the way we know best.

We start off the year with two of our favourite special flavours from last year: Strawberry Lychee - Strawberry cake with a fresh lychee whipped cream filling, topped with strawberry-lychee Swiss meringue frosting and a slice of fresh strawberry glazed in lychee syrup. Peanut Butter Fudge - Peanut butter cake with a dark chocolate fudge filling, peanut butter frosting topped with a dollop of dark chocolate fudge and a piece of peanut butter milk chocolate cookie.
