"Opportunities to help others are all around. So we just need to look for them and help however we can, as best we can." - Cephas Teo, 68, London Cab Driver Meet Cephas Teo, a 68-year-old London cab driver who is regarded as a close friend by many of his long-time passengers. Although his days are often packed with a steady stream of clients, Uncle Cephas strives to keep top priority for a specific group of regulars. This group, he explains, are passengers with disabilities or medical conditions that need to be wheeled in and out of his cab via a wheelchair ramp. One such passenger is 14-year-old Muhammed Sayfullah who was diagnosed with quadriplegic cerebral palsy as an infant. Uncle Cephas has been his family's regular cabbie for the past 7 years, ferrying them to the hospital for Sayfullah's monthly medical appointments. He shares that going the extra mile for passengers is a natural inclination, because he feels compelled to do more as one fortunate enough to have good health. Most of all, he hopes for others to offer help whenever a chance arises, so that those in need are never short of a helping hand. Thank you for joining us in our first #BeCareFull series! We hope the stories of everyday Singaporeans have inspired you to venture into a volunteering opportunity of your own.
