(http://bit.ly/nikos-economo) Nikos has worked extensively on projects in Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, the Aegean Islands and other parts of the world. His work in the Balkan Peninsula, a fragmented environment shattered by ethnic, religious and territorial warfare, won him the Mother Jones Award. Don’t miss this chance to learn from Nikos Economopoulos and discover your potential to create amazing photographs. MASTERCLASS SCHEDULE 8.45am – All participants to arrive at the Leica Galerie @ Fullerton Hotel 9.00am – Masterclass Begins 11.30am – Lunch 12.30pm – Masterclass continues 2.30pm – Break 2.45pm – Masterclass continues 5.30pm – End REVIEWS "This was my first workshop with Nikos. I love everything about it: Nikos’ warmth, his relaxed and funny way, the supportive group of participants, the thoroughness of each evening session. I learnt a lot, at many levels, namely improving my ‘seeing’ to obtain more powerful image… Nikos is tireless in sharing his knowledge, experience and love for photography. He has a way of teaching that works for me; his feedback sinks deep and opens me to other ways of seeing." - Paula Vibert, Portugal "I’ve participated in Nikos’ workshops 7 times. It’s never enough. The experience is so enriching that as soon as it is done you find yourself planning for the next one!... Nikos’ workshop is a journey that gives you the inspiration and direction to find and deepen your personal vision. Nikos is a mentor, an amazing human being who always celebrates good images made during his workshop with joy and passion. He is genuine and sincere. He has a sharp eye for editing. He does not tell you what to do, he does not impose his own style... This is why it is so fulfilling to participate in his workshops." - Graciela Magnoni, Uruguay "Nikos went carefully through all the photographs we offered him, regardless if there were only a few or even a hundred. He gave each of us excellent feedback on our daily work in a direct and honest, but always very friendly way. With this we learnt how to avoid common traps or clichés, how to recognize easy tricks, and avoid making boring and badly composed pictures." - Regula Tschumi, Switzerland "I would like to say how very much I valued Nikos’ perceptive, insightful and supportive comments. While just starting out in photography the workshop was a really valuable guide on how I should be thinking about it. I really liked the emphasis on looking for the humanity in the image, the unusual, the abnormal, the avoidance of the simply descriptive, the banal, the obvious and cliché." - Michael Barnes, UK "Attending one of Nikos Economopoulos’ workshops is an enlightening experience! Nikos’ artistic guidance is both challenging and subtle. He continues to inspire and helps in developing my photographic eye." - Kristof Huf, Germany "Words cannot explain the amazing experience you will live during an On the Road workshop. Nikos is an incredible human being and an inspiring delight. His talent, drive and wonderful spirit will guide you and help you explore photography in a fascinating way. Growth and challenge are two things you can be sure you will obtain. Be ready for the time of your life!" - Priscilla Falcon, Mexico "I just returned from my 5th workshop with Nikos. This was the second time I joined him in Cuba. It was, once again, an amazing experience. It is very exciting when you know what to expect: growth, challenge, intellectual stimulation, encouragement and friendship. You can count on these every time... Nikos treats everyone as if we were all professional peers… Nikos does not tell you how to do things rather he accurately points out what works for each person considering individual interests and styles… Days or weeks after the workshop you continue to realize how much you learned then and continue to learn from that workshop. It is a privilege to have Nikos as a mentor. He is not only a master in his craft but also the most considerate, encouraging, and generous professional photographer I have come across." - Martha Driessen, Mexico/USA Nikos you have a special gift, explaining the most complicated things with the most simple words. Thank you so much. - Periklis Liakakis, Greece "4th time on Nikos’ workshop – be careful, it can become addictive! Seriously, like most people who have followed him on his workshops, I keep being impressed with how effective these workshops are for bringing the best out of everyone: I am thinking how difficult it would be in my job to deal with apprentices at such different levels of skills, from completely amateur to accomplished professional: Nikos manages to pull the trick every time – his natural humbleness and humanity and interest in people make it seem effortless." - Christos Georgalas, Greece "The workshop with Nikos was a great experience. Nikos is an incredible generous educator, encouraging and inspiring. His dedication and passion for photography is contagious and inspiring and it has stuck with me. I enjoyed the workshop and felt that I learned a great deal. I would recommend it to everybody!" - Maria Marin, Spain
