In collaboration with Singapore Civil Defence Force, we have officially launched the AED-on-wheels programme yesterday at our Tampines Regional Base. We are honoured to have Assoc Prof Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State (MOS), Minister of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development, kick start our meaningful initiative with a ceremonial flag-off of our 25 electric vehicles (mixture of vans and 3-wheelers) fitted with AEDs. Aside from equipping the vehicles with AED, our drivers are also trained to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), apply first aid, and use a fire extinguisher and an AED. These are essential life-saving skills that enables our staff to extend support to the community in times of need.
