Come stitch with us and pick up techniques of Wabi Sabi patchwork! Be inspired by the Wabi Sabi ethos of finding beauty in the ordinary and celebrate the natural imperfections that give a handmade item its unique charm. What you will experience: We will introduce a patchwork style that can be 'crazy' fun with little rules. Enjoy the calming rhythm of stitching fabric pieces together. Working with linen and Liberty Art Fabric scraps^, we will share how to make use of scraps (that would otherwise go to waste) to create your own unique masterpieces. The final patchwork fabric can be sewn it into a coaster or use as a pocket on a tote bag and to turn it into an everyday eco-bag. Using what you already have; a free event tote, mismatched fabric scraps from our stash, they can be transformed into something you would be happy to use every day. Wabi Sabi patchwork is just a phrase we coined to describe patchwork that is imperfectly perfect with a functional quality. ^Liberty Art Fabrics scraps are sponsored by Elizabeth Little, off-cuts from their production process. FAQs: What’s included in the price ($55/person)? The materials used to making either a coaster or a pocket for your own tote bag! Tickets Sold are non-refundable. Nearest MRT: Paya Lebar
