A few months ago, we featured Yoke Kuan's experience of attending C2 with her then-fiancé. Now that they are married, here's what she has to say about how C2 has impacted their marriage thus far: "Connect2 allowed us time to think of the areas we didn't pay much attention to during our dating stage, such as potential conflicts or differences that might follow into our marriage and how we should work things out. In reality, getting married wasn't a magic pill that removed all our differences, but Connect2 had equipped us for what was to come. For example, before marriage, we had thought that moving in together would not be difficult and that our routines and habits should fall quickly into place. It has been 3 weeks, and we are still trying to adapt to our new living arrangements. We also experienced some challenges in the process. Through the sharing of our trainers of their past experiences, it struck us that even simple things can lead to conflict. They taught us how to better communicate through our feelings, and we have been able to apply communication handles, and to be careful with the words we use, to help de-escalate tense situations. We did not have any major conflict after our wedding, as we have been intentionally practicing what we learnt." - Yoke Kuan Equip yourself as you prepare for marriage, by attending our Connect2 Pre-Marital Workshop happening in Aug.
