Exciting things are happening for young voices around the world! ๐Ÿ“ฃ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Ahead of the midterms in the USA, we partnered with @headcountorg and fellow B-Corp @tonyschocolonely. The campaign around National Voter Registration Day registered 37,000 young voters, contributing to the second-highest youth turnout in any midterm vote. ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฟ Our partners @makeit16nz won a landmark Supreme Court case, which ruled that preventing 16 and 17 year-olds from voting is inconsistent with the Bill of Rights and a serious human rights issue. Their Prime Minister, @jacindaardern, has come out in support of lowering the voting age to 16. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง As the Public Order Bill enters the committee stage in the UK House of Lords, we delivered 770 letters calling for each Lord to protect the right to peaceful protest in the UK. It was great to hear Lord Paddick (@brianpad1) referencing our letter when challenging the Billโ€™s impact on the rights of young people.
