Beware of scammers impersonating Maybank staff using calls, SMSes or emails. We received reports of victims who received calls from +65 6275 XXXX, +65 6330 XXXX and +65 6475 2901. Please note that these are not valid Maybank hotline numbers. The scammers first ask the victims to verify transactions and then inform them that there is either an unauthorised Maybank account (5304-XXXX-1190) that has been opened under their names or that large amounts of money are being transferred to another bank account. Protect yourself by remembering these tips: • Be wary of incoming calls with the ‘+65’ prefix and do not agree to be transferred to another person claiming to be government officials. • Never disclose your banking or card credentials to anyone. • Verify the authenticity of the information by calling our hotline at 1800-MAYBANK (1800-629 2265) or (65) 6533 5229 (Overseas) and press STAR *1 for scam and fraudulent transaction reporting.
