Photography rewards patience. During a trip to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in Singapore on a Sunday evening, the tide was high, which generally means a much lower likelihood of spotting the mangrove wildlife. Terence Szeto waited for about an hour or so when a painted stork, a fairly common bird seen at the reserve, flew in and landed on the riverbanks. As it foraged in the waters, a photographic opportunity with a minimalist composition presented itself. “The Z 6II has amazing animal detection autofocus, which works exceptionally well even in challenging conditions like when the bird was moving around the waters. But I was even more impressed with the 100-400mm lens, which was extremely light and quick, paired with the Z 6II, I could hold it with one hand and carry it around without feeling like it was straining my arms and neck.” Take us with you wherever you go.
