A question we get asked a lot- why don’t we serve decaf? It’s not due to a judgey attitude, that’s for sure! The truth is, there just isn’t a high enough demand for decaf for us to ensure we’d be serving it at its best - dialed in, fresh and ground to order. Again, no judgement, but a lot of the time when you order decaf at a cafe, it will be scooped from a jar of unknown age or quality. Another truth; decaf can actually be delicious, case in point, we’ve just got roasting a brand new batch of decaffeinated Risaralda, from our producing partners in Colombia, and we’re excited to share it with you, with notes of Orange, Prune and Sugar Cane - all the flavour without any of the jitters. This coffee has been processed using a natural byproduct of sugar processing, ethyl acetate, which manages to remove 97% of the caffeine, yet maintains the natural flavour characteristics of the coffee!
