Here’s a million-dollar question that most of us probably still wonder to this day: Is it better to towel-dry, blow-dry or air-dry your hair? The truth is, each is a different method that’s very crucial in the drying technique of your mane. All of them serve a very specific purpose, and the more important thing to note here is that the methods need to be done correctly in order to avoid dull, frizzy, and lifeless hair. Towel-drying or air-drying helps only if you blot your hair gently give it a few squeezes to release the water within strands. Never twist and wring the water out of your hair with a towel because this will only cause potential damage. Blow-drying, on the other hand, has been labelled by many as the big bad hair destroyer, but that’s only if you use the highest heat setting all the time and you only concentrate on drying one spot of the hair. To do it correctly, many experts recommend towel-drying until hair is at least 50% dry before blow-drying it in the lowest or medium setting in medium case. It’ll also help greatly if you use a heat protectant on your mane prior to blow-drying, and you keep the blow-dryer moving around your hair constantly to prevent instant damage. Once you’ve figured out the best hair-drying routine for you that involves all of these methods instead of just one, your hair will surely look fuller, livelier, and more lustrous.
