We have interviewed our baker of #BarcookChefCreations, Ms Yee Win, with regard to her creation – Cheesy Mushroom 芝士蘑菇! Read on! If you’ve been following us closely, you’d have known that Ms Yee Win is also the creator of our Korean Bun series – Kimchi Floss! Check it out here if you haven’t: https://www.facebook.com/BarcookBakerySingapore/posts/1448653355327161 Here’s what she has to say regarding her inspiration of Cheesy Mushroom bun: “Mushroom is never a new ingredient in Barcook’s buns. I explored the idea of using mushroom with other combination of ingredients to present a different type of flavour. This creation makes use of straw mushroom as main ingredient as well as cheddar cheese and chilli sauce. Straw mushroom is a type of mushroom which has health benefits of lowering cholesterol, manage diabetes, as well as antimicrobial & liver protection. Cheddar cheese has a slightly hard and usually crumbly in texture. Lastly, I’d add the chilli sauce which is a perfect match with the mushrooms. Thanks to R&D and management’s approval of my proposal, I hope all of you will like this perfect combination as much as I do.”
