#IWCPortugieser Perpetual Calendar (Ref. 5021) from 2003 In a very special and unique way, this timepiece embodied all the watchmaking expertise of IWC. It combined its in-house calibre 5000 with the perpetual calendar developed by Kurt Klaus. But the watch also had something else to show: the world's first double moonphase display, which IWC registered for patent. For the first time ever, this watch allowed its wearer to see the moon as it actually appeared, no matter where in the world he or she happens to be.
