The late Jo and Gerry Essery left more than S$13 million to four Singapore charities, including the NKF, giving back to the causes they held dear to their hearts and with a desire to leave behind a “legacy of social impact”. With the first S$2 million donation we received from this legacy gift, NKF established the Jo and Gerry Essery-NKF Dialysis Centre in Marsiling, one of the largest dialysis centres in the north of Singapore with a capacity to treat up to 132 patients. Yesterday, we received another S$2 million as part of the final tranche.
