Is froyo (frozen yoghurt) good or bad for you? 🍦💭 There are a few considerations to note! Consider the nutritional breakdown of ice cream and froyo — both desserts are dairy products, so both provide bone-building calcium. But here's where the dairy sources matter! Froyo is made with milk, while ice cream is made with cream. Hence, for each 100g serving, froyo contains 50% less fat than ice cream. Although froyo is low in calories, overindulgence may lead to intake of excess calories as the recommended portion size is about 100g. As a rule of thumb, a portion is about ¾ cup of froyo. Keep within the recommended portion for a healthier choice! #KidneyFiles #Diabetes
