You don’t need to get out to have an excursion. Year 8 Geography students went on an in-cursion, to assist with their assessment on identifying and evaluating how effectively Singapore’s public housing meets the needs of its citizens. We spoke to Mr Joshua Kiehne, Head of Humanities, about the activity, "Normally, students would travel to key locations around Singapore such as "Pinnacle @ Duxton" and "Toa Payoh Hub", however with the help of Jan Chow Haw from Offbeat Singapo re Tours, HDB came to them. Students engaged in a range of activities, such as a keynote where Jan shared personal stories about his life in HDB flats, interviews with member of the AIS Operations team about their views on HDB flats and an interactive Google Earth exploration. Both students and teachers loved the opportunity to learn from members of the community and learn more about Singapore." #WeAreAIS #CognitaWay
