“I gave up the big bucks in the oil and gas industry… for the big hugs in hospitality,” - Kavind, Guest Service Officer (Concierge)⁠.⁠ Taking a big leap of faith, Kavind left the oil and gas industry to pursue a career in hospitality at the end of 2017. He started off on shaky grounds when he found himself being rejected for the roles he applied for, as he did not have a hotel background. ⁠ Determined to have a breakthrough in the industry, he upskilled himself by attending hospitality courses at the Ascott Centre for Excellence (ACE) which led him to Grand Hyatt Singapore. ⁠ As a people-person, Kavind thrives on creating spectacular hotel experiences and delivering GRAND moments for our guests.
