Craving for a creamy, rich pasta carbonara without the stomach discomfort? Ingredients for 2 servings: 200g pasta of choice 3 strips of turkey bacon, cut to bite size strips ½ tablespoon of olive oil ½ yellow onion, chopped 1 ½ cloves garlic, chopped 2 tablespoon of all-purpose flour 1 ¼ cups Magnolia PLUS lactose free milk ½ tablespoon nutritional yeast A pinch of salt A pinch of black pepper Parsley for garnish Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions and set it aside. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the turkey bacon until deeply browned and crispy, remove and set it aside. Add in chopped onions, garlic and sauté until golden brown. Sprinkle over the flour and stir to coat the onions for about 1 minute. Pour in Magnolia PLUS Lactose Free Milk and whisk. Add in nutritional yeast. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes to thicken the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and the turkey bacon to the sauce and toss well to combine. Garnish with parsley if desired.
