We’ve shared a Spaghetti Pad Thai before, but have you seen this Spaghetti Khee Mao? Pad Khee Mao is a stir-fried dish typically made with noodles, meat, chillies, green veggies, and the key ingredient, fresh Thai basil leaves. It’s the pasta meal you never knew you needed in life. 😆 ____ INGREDIENTS 200g Alce Nero organic spaghetti 2 tbsp vegetable oil 3 garlic cloves (chopped) 3 large red chillies (sliced) 3 small bird's eye chillies (sliced) 50g Chinese broccoli (kai-lan) 300g peeled and deveined prawns 60ml oyster sauce 1 tbsp fish sauce 1 tsp dark soy sauce 20g fresh Thai basil leaves PREPARATION 1. Cook spaghetti in boiling water until al dente. Reserve about 60ml pasta cooking water. 2. In a wok or large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over high heat. Add garlic and chillies and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add the prawns and stir-fry until almost cooked. 3. Then add the greens, and toss through spaghetti and the pasta water. 4. Add the oyster sauce, fish sauce and dark soy sauce. Keep tossing the pasta until the spaghetti absorbs the liquid and the sauce is thick and glossy. Add the basil and toss through. 5.
