PINK SCREEN: FLEE (M18) Sun 12 Jun 2pm A true recount of Amin, a gay Afghan refugee who battles the conflict of his traditional culture and queer identity while harbouring the secret traumas of fleeing Afghanistan during the civil war in 1989. When he is asked to settle down by his long-term boyfriend, Amin is forced to open up about his past or risk sabotaging his relationship with dishonesty. Join us for a post-show talk co-presented with Advocates For Refugees - SG 新加坡难民支援小组after the screening of Flee on Sunday 12 June to commemorate World Refugee Day this June. Featuring a panel of speakers from diverse backgrounds and experiences in academia, humanitarian work and advocacy, to discuss and learn about the realities of living beyond the margins and how we can embrace our commonalities as humankind.
