We are proud to share that 23 TransitLink frontline staff were recognised at this year’s National Kindness Award – Transport Gold this morning, comprising two Outstanding Award and 21 Commendation Award winners! Held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, the Awards ceremony was graced by Minister For Transport, Mr S Iswaran. Kudos to our Outstanding Award winners- Siti Azimah Binte Edris (Customer Service Officer) and Olganathan Jayanthi (Customer Relations Officer) for always going the extra mile to help customers. Both are familiar faces to the Awards ceremony: this is the fourth time Azimah received the Outstanding Award and the first time for Jayanthi, but it is indeed noteworthy to mention that Jayanthi was previously accorded the Commendation Award in 2017 and 2020. Azimah performed first aid to stop the bleeding of an elderly man who sustained head injuries after a fall and stayed with him until the paramedics arrived, before she commenced her shift at the Concession Card Replacement Office. Her hands and uniform were stained with blood but she did not falter. In the same vein, Jayanthi displayed kindness and showed empathy to a customer who did not receive his Persons with Disabilities Concession card due to a change in address. She arranged a reprint of the card and made special arrangements for his caregiver to collect the card at his earliest convenience. A little kindness goes a long way. Congratulations to our Commendation Award winners too! Every winner is a deserving winner! Do continue to show kindness and empathy in whatever you do!
