The Southeast Asian Film Lab Fellowship Prize script consultation kicks off with Kristin Parreno Barrameda @kristinpbarrameda, who won the 2019 Fellowship prize for her project, 𝘽𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙖𝙣𝙜 with acclaimed director/producer, Wee Li Lin @lilinwee. Presented by Purple Tree Co. @purpletree.co, it supports a 1:1 script mentorship between the recipient and a director/producer in the industry. Li Lin cites "Kristin's screenwriting is articulate, vivid, and sensitive, when I read her writing it felt like I was reading a really good piece of fiction. She cares deeply for the characters she has created in "Bing Bong Bang" but she is willing to put them through the wringer in all ways. The consultation was inspiring for me as well and I feel that I have learnt something from Kristin's writing that I hope to take away in my own practice.
